Educational Qualification

Boiler Service – Candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent and Boiler Operation Engineer proficiency Certificate where class is not mentioned or First Class Boiler operation Engineer Proficiency Certificate where class is mentioned, issued by the Board of Examiners under the Andhra Pradesh Boiler Operation Engineer Rules or by the authority of other States, competent to issue such certificate
Child Development Project Officer in WD & CW Dept – Bachelor’s Degree in Home Science or Social Work or Sociology of a recognized University
Lecturer in Govt., Polytechnic Colleges in Sugar Tech – A Degree in Sugar Technology (B.E./ B.Tech.) with not less than 55% of marks. If candidates with prescribed qualifications are not available, candidates with degree in “ Chemical Engineering” (B.E./ B.Tech./ A.M.I.E.(A & B) with not less than 55% of marks with Sugar Technology as an

Civil Assistant Surgeon in Insurance Medical Service – M.B.B.S. Assistant Electrical Inspectors in A.P. Electrical Inspectorate Services – Must possess Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience: 3 Years practical experience in Electrical Engineering of which not less than one year shall be in the field of Electrical and Mechanical Workshop or Generation or Transmission or Distribution of Electricity or in the administration of I.E. Act, 1910 and the rules made there under in a position of responsibility.
Assistant Director of Mines in A.P. Mining Service – Must possess a Degree in Mining Engineering from any University of India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or Provincial Act or a State Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or a Diploma in Mining Engineering from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad or an equivalent Diploma from any other recognized Institute.
Technical Assistants in Geophysics in Ground Water Sub – Service – M.Sc or M.Sc. (Tech.) or M.Tech. or its equivalent in Geophysics from a University recognized by U.G.C
Assistant Engineer in Ground Water Dept – Diploma in Civil Engineering or any other equivalent Qualification.
Prohibition & Excise Sub Inspector in A.P. Prohibition & Excise Sub-Service – A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification
Physical Requirements
  • For Men
  • Must not be less than 165 Cms. in height.
  • Must not be less than 81 Cms. round the Chest on full expiration with a minimum expansion of 5 Cms
For Women
  • Must not be less than 152.5 Cms. in height.
  • Must not weigh less than 45.5 Kgs.
  • Sr. Stenographers in A.P. Sect., Law Dept – Bachelor’s Degree of a University and (a) Pass in Typewriting Higher English and Shorthand Higher (English), and (b) Pass in Typewriting Lower Telugu and Shorthand Lower (Telugu).
    Executive Officer Grade-III in A.P. Endowments Sub-Service – Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a University
    Junior Stenographer in Industrial Tribunal – Hyd – (i) Must have passed Intermediate Examination or its equivalent Examination. (ii) Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade.in (English) (iii) The Government Technical Examination in Shorthand by the Higher Grade (English).     Junior Stenographers (English / Telugu) in HOD – (i) Must have passed Intermediate Examination or its equivalent Examination. (ii) Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in the relevant language and (iii) The Government Technical Examination in Shorthand by the Higher Grade in the relevant language. If however persons who have passed the examinations on Typewriting or Shorthand by the Higher Grade are not available those who have passed the examination by the Lower Grade may be appointed
    Typists in Heads of Dept., (Group-IV) – (i) Must have passed Intermediate Examination or its equivalent Examination. (ii) Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu on a Government standard Key Board. (iii) Provided that if persons with the qualification prescribed in item (ii) above are not available candidates who have passed the above examination in Typewriting by Lower Grade may if otherwise qualified be appointed. (iv) Provided further that candidates who possess Typewriting qualification in English by Lower Grade besides the qualifications mentioned in items (ii) and (iii) above shall be given preference for appointment by direct recruitment.

    How to Apply
    • The eligible candidates have to apply through online only.
    • The vacancies given are subject to decrease or increase according to circumstances
    • The rule of reservation in favour of local candidates to the extent of 80% in each category of unit is applicable
    • Local candidate in relation to local area means a person who has studied in an educational institution in such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years in which he/she appeared or as the case may be first appeared for SSC or equivalent examination or when during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years in which he appeared for SSC or equivalent examination, he/she has not studied in any educational institution, if he/she has resided in the local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of SSC or equivalent examination in which he appeared or first appeared as the case may be
    • In reckoning the consecutive academic years during which a candidate has studied, any period of interruption of his study by reason of his failure to pass any examination shall be disregarded
    • A local candidate of a particular District should appear for the examination in that District only for being considered against 80% local quota. He is, however, free to apply and appear for the said examination from any other District against 20% un-reserved quota as a non-local candidate
    • Candidates claiming to have rendered regular Govt. Service or claim to have worked in Census Dept., and retrenched, will not eligible for the concession allowed if evidence is not produced in support of their claim.
    • If study / residential certificate is not produced the candidates will be treated as a Non-Local candidate

Educational Qualification
For Librarians – (i) Good academic record with a Master’s Degree in Library Science with 55% and above marks or an equivalent Grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F or equivalent degree, obtained from the Universities recognized in India. (ii) Should have passed National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC or SLET conducted by the APPSC (formerly by A.P. College Service Commission.)
For Lecturers – (i) Good academic record with a minimum of 55% of the marks or an equivalent Grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Masters Degree level, in the relevant subject, obtained from the Universities recognized in India. (ii) Should have passed National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC or SLET conducted by the APPSC (formerly by A.P. Fee – All candidates have to pay Rs.25/- towards each application processing fee is compulsory and all candidates are exempted from payment of Examination Fee. The SC/ST Candidates belonging to other States are not entitled to apply as it is a Backlog Recruitment.

Procedure of Selection
For Librarians – The Selection of Candidates for Appointment to The Posts Will be Made on Written Examination (Objective Type) Only for Those Qualified as Per Rules
For Lecturer – The Selection of Candidates for Appointment to The Posts Will be Made In Two Successive Stages Viz. (i) Written Examination (Objective Type) and (ii) Oral Test in the shape of Interview only for those qualified as per rules. The Final Selection of These Posts Will be Based on The Written and Oral Marks Put Together
How to pay Fee and Fill in the Application Form
  • Candidate has to log-on to the Website www.psc.ap.gov.in and enter his / her Basic Details like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Community
  • Immediately on entering the above details the Applicant will get Challan Form to pay the Fee at AP Online centers /State Bank of India
  • Applicant should pay the prescribed Fee in any one of the A.P. Online centers / State Bank of India and obtain Fee paid Challan with Journal Number in the first instance
  • On the next working day after payment of Fee the Applicant should again visit Website and enter the Journal Number to get the format of Application. The applicant has to invariably fill all the columns in the Application and submit on-line

Exam Fee – There is no Examination fee
Selection Procedure – The names of eligible candidates will be arranged in the order of merit on the basis of total length of military service and ex-Servicemen over and above 20% of vacancies will be called for verification of original documents. After verification of document a final panel will be prepared from this list. Allotment of post will be done on the basis of merit-cum-medical fitness-cum-choice of the candidate. Post once allotted will not be changed on any account. There will be no written examination/interview or Physical Efficiency Test.
Medical Examination – The candidate selected will be subjected to a medical examination as per medical classification mentioned against the post allotted as per Merit. Only those candidates who are medically fit would be offered an appointment.

How to Apply – Eligible Ex-Servicemen should submit their applications in the format given below. Applications should be made on good quality A-4 size (210mm x 297mm) white paper using ONE SIDE ONLY.
